''NPO
Forum'' is a major activity of China NPO Network (formerly known
as Foundations & NPOs Network). It aims at establishing
a friendly interactive platform for the sustainable development
of NPOs in China, so as to provide a far-reaching space for
people from all walks of life to exchange ideas on the development
of NPOs, to explore problems encountered by NPOs in China, and
to promote public awareness and recognition of NPOs.
NPO Forum attaches importance to conversation
between NPOs and other social groups as well as interaction
between academic communities, relevant government sectors and
various enterprises, with the hope to promote widespread public
participation in NPOs and arouse concern for and exploration
of NPOs from the whole society.
Organization: Forums are organized by
the NPO Forum Project Team of ChinaNPO Network. Topics are selected
with suggestions from experts, relating to hot issues in the
field of NPOs. In order to make sure the preciseness of topics
and effectiveness of discussions, a consultative group is established
to decide the topics, to nominate forum host/hostess, commentator,
and keynote speaker, and to provide liaison support.
Date: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursday
or Friday of the third week of every month
Form: Keynote speech plus free discussion
Requirement: Keynote speakers are supposed
to submit a speech outline before the forum and deliver the
speech within 15 to 20 minutes.
Results: The content of the forum is
provided in both online materials and Journal of Forum Report,
available for reference to anyone who cares for the cause of
China's public good.
