    The 8th NPO Forum was held on September 24th, 2002 at the International Education Exchange Center of Beijing University of Science and Engineering, with the theme of tax & public good. The forum is also a presentation ceremony for the Chinese version of the book <<The Rules of the Road-----A Guide to the Law of Charities in the United States>>. As a special guest, the author of the book, Ms. Adler, gave a special speech at the forum. During the ceremony, Mr. Shang Yusheng, the president of China NPO Network introduced the process concerning the translation and publication of the book. Experts and scholars from the Law Affairs Office under Ministry of Civil Affairs, Asia Foundation, Law Affairs Office of the State Council, the World Bank, the Community Research Centre under Beijing University and some NPOs in Beijing were present at the forum.
